Privacy
Last updated November 1, 2026
The short version: this site has no ads, no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no cookies. It does not ask students or teachers for any personal information, and it does not collect any.
Who runs this site
Life in the Tech Lab is a free collection of technology activities for K–6 classrooms, created and maintained by one teacher and curriculum writer, Phil. You can reach me at phil@lifeinthetechlab.com.
What we do not collect
- No names, email addresses, birthdays, or other personal details.
- No accounts, logins, comments, or forms on the activity pages.
- No advertising of any kind, and no advertising or social-media trackers.
- No cookies set by this site.
Children
The activities are designed so students can use them in class. Because nothing on this site asks for or gathers personal information, children do not need to give any in order to use it. If you believe a child has shared personal information with this site, please email me and I will remove it.
Counting visits
To learn which pages are useful to teachers, this site uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It counts visits without cookies and without building profiles of individual people. It reports simple totals such as which pages were viewed, what kind of browser and device was used, the country a visit came from, and which page a visitor arrived from. It is not used for advertising, and the information is not sold or shared for marketing. You can read the service's own policy at GoatCounter privacy.
Server records
Like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site (InMotion Hosting) keeps routine server logs that include a visitor's internet address and the pages requested. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting, and I do not use them to identify or follow individual visitors.
Fonts and other resources
The fonts, images, and scripts on this site's pages are served from this site itself, so your browser does not contact Google or other outside companies just to display them.
Links to other sites
Some activities link to other websites, such as Scratch, Google tools, or video services. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which I do not control. Please review them before sharing any information there, and supervise students when they leave this site.
Your choices
Since this site does not keep personal information about visitors, there is nothing to look up or delete. If you have a question or concern, or want to confirm that, please email phil@lifeinthetechlab.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
