Fox and Crow picture Podcasting with Audacity:

Final Project: Create Fable Podcast
Now that you understand how to use Audacity to create interesting radio shows, it is time to work with a partner and produce your own shows using Audacity. Follow the directions below to successfully complete this project.

Weekly Schedule

In order to finish your project on time, you should be finished with these aspects of your project on the weeks indicated!

Week 1

Check when done Decide on the fable you will use in your radio show.
Check when done Print out a copy for each person.
Check when done Practice reading it several times. Are you clear enough? Does everyone read their part quickly enough?
Check when done

Now, each person should go back to their own computer. Record your part in one Audacity file. Correct any huge errors.

Save it in a folder in the Student drive (Student --> LowerDiv --> 3rd --> Tech). That way you will be able to use both files.

Week 2 & 3

Check when done Combine both files into one and edit it so everyone's parts begin and end properly. SAVE the combined foler in the Student drive ( (Student --> LowerDiv --> 3rd --> Tech)
Check when done Now find good sound effects to use in your radio show. Click here for a list. SAVE YOUR FILE!!
Check when done Now you need to add music and the title (you'll have to say it.. remember the Lone Ranger?) and credits at the end. You should include the producers (everyone in the group), the actors (tell who did each voice), and where you found the script (Mr. Biggs will give you this).

So you like this new look? I have begun the work of updating this site to look cleaner, make it easier to read, and work much better on mobile devices. Do you like what you see? I'm open to suggestions; email me with ideas!

As I work on the site, you'll go back to the old style pages. Don't worry, all the links will continue to work just fine! You'll be able to follow my progress! Look for an updated Intro to Spreadsheets site soon!
